Wisconsin’s tribal communities will get their day at the Capitol this week. The State of the Tribes is set for tomorrow. Tribal leaders speak to lawmakers and the governor each year and lay-out goals for both the legislature and the tribes. This is the 19th year for the State of the Tribes.

The annual “spring forward” happens at 2 a.m. Sunday, when clocks move to 3 a.m. Wisconsin is one of the 46 states that observe daylight saving time. Only Arizona and Hawaii don’t observe daily saving time, along with American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Read MoreMore than 280 people don’t have to worry about having marijuana possession violations on their records. The City of Madison retroactively dismissed 282 tickets for possession of marijuana this week. That means people who were fined between February, 2019 and December, 2020 will have the charge expunged from their records. Weed is still illegal in Wisconsin but a 2020 Madison City ordinance loosened restrictions on small amounts of marijuana.
