UW-Madison’s interim chancellor says he’s ‘pleased to support’ the Big Ten’s latest expansion. Chancellor John Karl Scholz yesterday said that adding USC and UCLA to the Big Ten will strengthen the conference by making it a powerhouse from coast to coast. The two California teams will join the Big Ten in 2024. College football insiders say the move is to counter the growing SEC, and help get the Big Ten a better TV contract.
