A man shot by Eau Claire police officers is suing.
Attorneys for Tyler Holte say his 2015 officer-involved shooting left him seriously injured and with hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills. Eau Claire Police say officers shot Holte after he stole a car, led them on a high speed chase, hid from them, and refused to surrender. Prosecutors cleared the officers in the shooting. Holte’s lawyer says that doesn’t matter in the lawsuit.
