The Chippewa Valley Regional Airport has continued to make health and safety improvements to our facilities in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The latest enhancement is the installation of bi-polar ionization equipment in the airline passenger terminal building air handlers.
Bi-polar ionization produces a high concentration of positive and negative
ions. Bi-polar ionization works to constantly disinfect surfaces without human intervention by sending out ions to destroy viruses; another
step in the cleaning process.
The Airport has also made other modifications to the passenger terminal
including adding equipment to our cleaning arsenal to increase the frequency of disinfecting high touch surfaces, additional hand sanitizing stations and increased utilization of touch-free technology. Further developments like touch-free paper towel dispensers and water bottle filling stations are also in process and will be installed as soon as the equipment is available.
