Cpl. Charles V. Cummings, an 1895 graduate of Stout Manual Training School, died of typhoid fever Nov. 8, 1898, while serving in the U.S. Army during the Spanish-American War in Puerto Rico.

That includes two deadly shootings early yesterday morning that happened about a half-an-hour apart. From there troopers went on a search, eventually finding the suspect in Iowa County. They made the arrest in Dodgeville. The State Patrol will only say the suspect is a fugitive from out of state. There are no details as to who the suspect is and where they are from.
