A Neillsville man is facing new charges after a lead foot chase through Eau Claire County. That began yesterday afternoon on Highway 53 and County Highway HH when a Trooper tried to stop a vehicle for speeding. The vehicle, driven by 42-year-old Douglas Polzin, took off and eventually crashed into a ditch on County Highway D, where he ran from the scene. The escape wasn’t long lived, he was located nearby and taken into custody.

The crash happened Wednesday on Highway 95 at River Road in the Town of Glencoe. 31-year-old Steven Kenney drove through the intersection and hit the driver’s side of a semi. He was flown to the hospital and his condition isn’t known. The semi driver wasn’t hurt.

Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger says that despite playing the smallest market in the major leagues, Milwaukee could make the top ten in attendance.
