Lawmakers Look at Election Reforms

By Morgan McCarthy | November 2, 2023

Republicans at the Wisconsin Capitol are trying again with some 2020-inspired election reforms.  The Assembly’s Committee on Campaigns and Elections will hold a hearing on plans that would clean up Wisconsin’s voter rolls, set new rules for absentee ballots, and deal with lines at the polls on Election Day.  All of the proposals can be traced back to complaints about the 2020 election. It’s not clear, however, if Governor Evers would sign any of them into law.
