Renee, a grandma from Middleton, and former Chicago Bears cheerleader did not get a rose during last night’s first episode of the show. She did however perform a cheer. The Golden Bachelor features a man who’s 72, and 22 women between the ages of 60 and 75 , Renee is 67.

Marshfield Public Library Parking Lot Will be Closed on Sunday

October 1 for sealcoating and restriping The Street Division will have a contractor sealcoat and restripe the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library parking lot at the corner of E. 2nd St. and S. Maple Ave. The work is expected to begin at midnight(12AM), Sunday, October 1st through midnight(12AM), Monday, October 2nd. The closure will be weather-dependent and may need to be rescheduled if rain occurs.

Marshfield Announces New Community Center Hours

The City of Marshfield Parks and Recreation Department, including the Second Street Community Center building, new hours are taking effect starting Monday, October 2, 2023. The Second Street Community Center doors will be locked on Friday afternoons, although private events may be taking place at times and the building won’t be open to the general public. Lawmakers Address Medical Practices, Minors

Republican legislators are introducing two new bills that would ban gender-transitioning medical treatment for minors. The lawmakers say children shouldn’t be able to make life-changing choices since the human brain isn’t fully developed until the age of 25. National Manhunt Continues for Rusk Co. Man

There is a national manhunt for a Rusk County man who simply didn’t show up at his sentencing on child abuse charges. The Rusk County Sheriff’s Office yesterday took to social media to try to find Tylar Swanson. Sparta Man Faces Charges After Capitol Riot

A Sparta man is looking at felony charges after federal prosecutors say he was inside the Capitol during the January 6th riot. The Department of Justice announced charges against 37-year-old Charles Walters yesterday. Prosecutors say he destroyed some fencing, climbed onto the inaugural stage risers, and went inside the Capitol on January 6th. Court documents say Walters was identified from video of the day. There are no allegations that he did any damage, or hurt anyone once inside the building.
