Prosecutors in Barron County are clearing officers in a deadly officer-involved shooting last month in Rice Lake.
The Barron County DA’s Office yesterday said the officers who shot and killed Zachary Veitch back on October 8th were justified. Investigators say Veitch had just stabbed one person in the apartment where he lived, and tried to stab another. Officers fired when they say Veitch came at them with a knife as well. Three officers were involved in the shooting. None of them will face charges.
