Governor Tony Evers says he’ll be extending the COVID-19 mask mandate again once the current one expires. The Governor made the statement Friday during at an event in Manitowoc. The Governor said that it is still his view which he claims is based on science is that, “At the end of the day, it is important that people wear a mask.” The current mask mandate is supposed to expire March 20th.

The group was instrumental in setting up the Smithsonian Institute’s National Museum of African American History in Washington, D.C. Read MoreA small plane makes an emergency landing on a road in Baraboo. The incident happened yesterday afternoon when the single engine plane landed on Highway 136. It so happens that at the time, the portion of the road used for the landing was closed due to nearby bridge construction. The pilot, Michigander Joseph Fullerton says he had a fuel line issue which led to the emergency landing. There are no reports of injuries. A tree branch damaged one wing.

DNR officials say shanties located north of Highway 64 can stay on the ice until Sunday, March 14th.
