A longtime Chippewa Falls manufacturer has been acquired by a La Crosse-based investment firm, but the company will continue under local leadership.
Nesnah Ventures has acquired Lake Region Enterprises, a Chippewa Falls manufacturer of custom trailers and truck equipment.
As part of the deal, the company will be renamed Lake Region Trailer, reflecting the brand it has used for its trailer products for years. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced.
Lake Region traces its roots to 1989, when Mark and Sheri Glasener started the business as a one-truck hauling operation from the dining room of their Chippewa Falls home. The company eventually expanded into truck equipment installation and began manufacturing custom trailers in 1999.
Nesnah says the acquisition marks its first investment in the trailer and truck-equipment manufacturing industry.
Amber Glasener will remain with the company as general manager, continuing to oversee day-to-day operations.
