Police in Janesville say the car pulled from the Rock River this week was reported stolen in 1993.
Someone found the car under the water at Riverside Park this week, they were using a sonar device. Crews then pulled the car from the river and noticed that it had been reported stolen 30 years ago. Janesville Police are not saying when or how the car ended up in the river.
Investigators say they contacted the owner, and say the case is now closed.
