Local Testing Site to Open

A new COVID-19 regional community testing site is now open in Eau Claire near I-94 Exit 59. This site is the Northwest WI National Guard testing site, in collaboration with member counties of the Northwest Wisconsin Healthcare Emergency Readiness Coalition (HERC), the Eau Claire City-County Health Department, and Eau County Emergency Management. Testing is for residents across northwestern Wisconsin and is free of cost.

The test site will be open three days a week, Mondays & Fridays 11am-7pm, and Saturdays 9am-5pm, through December 7th. The test kits at this site use the nasal swab. CLICK HERE FOR REGISTRATION INFORMATION.

Who can be tested:

-Any person age 5 or over who is sick with any of these symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle or body aches, headache, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, or new loss of taste or smell.

-Any person age 5 or over who is a close contact to someone who tested positive (people who have been asked to quarantine), even if they feel healthy

Note: People under age 18 will need a parent present to consent to be tested.
