CRASH INJURES TWO

Early on Sunday morning the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office received a report of crash near the Buffalo Trempealeau County Line.

Searching by law enforcement located the crash on CTY P near the intersection with Piepers Valley Rd. When emergency crews arrived on scene, they found a 2016 Ford F-150 down over an embankment on a curve. One of the occupants was in the grass walking around, this was Payne Kramer. A few moments later 51 year old Scott Johnson was assisted out of the driver’s door with cuts and lacerations to his face.

Based on the crash investigation the two were traveling westbound in Johnson’s pickup truck, Johnson being the operator when the vehicle approached a sharp uphill curve in the roadway coming into Marshland. It appears that Johnson was unable to safely negotiate the curve, the vehicle then traveled into the other lane then went off the roadway. Vehicle continued down an embankment which caused the vehicle to rollover then come to a rest on its wheels. Both Johnson and Kramer were  treated at the scene for injuries. Johnson was arrested for operating while under the influence.
