Security workers at Wisconsin airports have seized 18 guns at security checkpoints so far this year. The Transportation Security Administration says 12 guns were taken during the same timeframe last year. The most guns were found at Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, ten.

Madison Police ticketed Turner for a first-time OWI after stopping him on the Beltline. He was suspended the next day. Turner also faced charges in Michigan, and a ticket in Rock County for allegedly driving 117 miles-per-hour. Turner was one of the Badger leading tacklers last season.
Read MoreThe sheriff in Dunn County is looking into a string of mailbox explosions. Deputies say they got a call about a handful of mailboxes that blew-up in the township of Rock Creek on Saturday. Investigators are not saying what was used to blow the mailboxes up, but they say it was likely fireworks or some other kind of homemade explosive. The sheriff’s office says the explosions are likely not targeted. There aren’t any reports of any injuries.

The announcement comes after the fire burned nearly 400 acres near Coloma. There are no reports of any injuries, though the fire did destroy some buildings. The DNR says it looks like the fire started with a pallet fire, and spread from there.
