Wisconsin is on the Humane Society’s Horrible Hundred list for problem puppy mills, but is nowhere near the top. The Humane Society lists five problem puppy mills in the state. Missouri leads the nation with 31. Illinois is also on the list, with one puppy mill. None of Wisconsin’s other neighboring states have any problem mills, according to the Humane Society.

The sheriff’s office says the deputy was hit by a drunk driver this morning on County Highway N just south of Interstate-90. The deputy suffered non-life threatening injuries. The sheriff’s office says the suspect drove off but was later found and arrested. He’s charged with OWI, hit and run, and resisting and obstructing.
