As many head home from Memorial Day travel, Wisconsin gas prices remain higher than they were this time last week.  Triple-A says the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded in the Madison area is three dollars and 51 cents, up eight cents from last Monday.  The statewide average is a little higher, three-53 a gallon.

One person is dead after a weekend crash in Eau Claire. It happened Friday evening on Highway 93. The State Patrol says 30-year-old Brandon Nabok of Eau Claire was riding his motorcycle when he crashed into another car that was turning on to the highway. The other driver was not hurt. The State Patrol says the investigation is on-going.

It’s time to play some baseball at Carson Park. The Eau Claire Express begin their season today. Managers say there will be some changes for fans this year, including a new team store and a new loaded mac and cheese option at the concession stand. There will also be Taco Tuesdays and Thirsty Thursdays this season. Today’s game starts at 6:30 p.m. at Carson Park, the Express will take on the La Crosse Loggers.

Milwaukee County leaders are on the record about not wanting to spend taxpayer dollars on American Family Field. County supervisors voted against a public-funding option for the ballpark last Thursday. Supervisors say there are just too many other needs. Republican leaders at the Wisconsin Capitol are insisting that the county, as well as the city of Milwaukee, pay something if the state is going to send taxpayer dollars to the Brewers’ ballpark. Wisconsin will mark the start of Pride Month on Thursday. Governor Tony Evers will hold a ceremony at the State Capitol. Evers has flown the Pride flag above the Capitol each year that he has been governor, and he’s expected to do the same again this year. The governor is not saying what other plans he has to mark Pride Month this June.

A downed power line closed the highway in Wausau overnight. Wis-DOT says a power line fell and closed Highway 97 in both directors near Stratford. The lines went down about 3 a.m. No one is saying just what took the lines down. Crews said it would take a few hours to get everything back open and repaired.

Dwayne Johnson says he is the king of Kwik Trip. Johnson responded to a message from Kwik Trip by saying he’s traveled to every state, and drove every major highway in this country. He says he earned ‘the name Kwik Trip King.’ Kwik Trip reached-out to Johnson on Twitter, hoping for that exact kind of response.

 It has been a violent start to the Memorial Day weekend in Milwaukee. Police say 13 people have been wounded, and three people have been killed in 10 separate shootings over the weekend. The dead include two men killed in a double shooting yesterday, and a man shot and killed Friday night. Milwaukee Police say they’ve made a few arrests, but are looking for suspects in most of the shootings.

The Wisconsin State Patrol and Barron County Sheriffs Department responded to a one-vehiclecrash with injuries on County Hwy V near 23rd Street. Preliminary evidence from the crash scene indicates the vehicle was eastbound on County Highway V when it drifted off the roadway and struck the end of the bridge. The vehicle then came to rest in the right ditch. During the course of the crash investigation, officers observed signs of impairment, and a subsequent investigation was conducted. The driver,
