Wisconsin gas prices are down a penny.  Triple-A reports the statewide average fell one cent Friday, to three-54 a gallon for regular.  That’s two cents lower than last week but 20 cents higher than a month ago.  On the other hand, Friday’s three-54 a gallon average is a dollar-36 lower than it was in mid-June last year.

On Wednesday June 14, 2023 at 8:22pm the Barron County 911 Center received a call of a motorcycle crash on 18th Street near 8th Ave, southeast of Barron. The Eau Claire woman accused in a Dunn County home invasion is headed for trial. A judge yesterday said there is enough evidence against 21-year-old Megan Dehate to take the case forward. She’s accused of forcing her way into a home in the Town of Dunn last week. The sheriff says she hit the man who lives there in the head with a chunk of metal. Investigators say Dehate was likely high at the time.

We now know who died in this week’s small plane crash in Watertown.  Authorities yesterday said a 73-year-old grandfather and his eight-year-old grandson died in the crash Wednesday morning. No one is yet saying what brought the plane down near Brandt Quirk Park. Both the FAA and the NTSB are investigating. Though the FAA yesterday said the plane was supposed to go from Watertown to Manitowish Waters. Watertown Police say Brandt Quirk Park will remain closed through the weekend so

 Searchers say they found some more clues in their search for a missing 13-year-old at Devil’s Lake State Park. The sheriff in Sauk County yesterday said they found a bootprint, a walking stick, and a sandwich bag in the area where they believe 13-year-old James Yoblonski to be. He’s been missing since late Sunday night. The sheriff and others have spent the past few days scouring the woods looking for him. The sheriff yesterday said Yoblonski could be trying to

The DNR says wildfire smoke won’t be as much of a problem today across most of Wisconsin. Eau Claire, Jackson, Sauk, Dane, and Grant counties are the only counties in Wisconsin under any kind of air quality alert this morning, and those counties are all looking at moderate air quality. Yesterday, the DNR issued a handful of red air quality warnings across the state. The rest of Wisconsin is looking at good air quality to start the day.

There aren’t a lot of answers about what happened at Lambeau Field yesterday that sent someone to the hospital in critical condition.  The company hired to do some work at the stadium said a crew member ‘experienced a serious incident on site and is currently in critical condition.’  No one is saying just what that means, though.  There’s also no word on the crew member’s identity.
