Wisconsin’s attorney general wants to speed-up his challenge to Wisconsin’s abortion law. A-G Josh Kaul yesterday asked a Dane County judge to rule immediately on Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion ban. Kaul wants the judge to declare the law unenforceable. That would fast track the case for the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Lawmakers Discuss Changes to Delivery

There could be new rules for DoorDash and UberEats in Wisconsin. A Senate committee is going to hold a hearing today on a plan that would allow restaurants to opt-out from third-party delivery services. Old Style is reportedly leaving Milwaukee, but not Wisconsin. A number of news outlets in La Crosse yesterday said Old Style will be brewed in La Crosse starting in November. It’s a return home for Old Style, which was brewed in La Crosse starting in 1902 by the G. Heileman Brewing Company. Pabst took it over, and brewed it in Milwaukee for the past 24 years. Stage Being Set for Republican Presidential Debate

The stage for Milwaukee’s Republican presidential debate is getting crowded. Mike Pence’s campaign last night said he met the donor threshold to be a part of the debate later this month. Each candidate must have 200 individual donors in 20 states or more. So far former President Trump, Ron DeSantis, Tim Scott, Vivek Ramaswamy, Niki Haley, Christ Christie, and Doug Burgam have qualified. The debate is set for August 23rd.

Judge to Decide Court Placement

There’s a chance the 15-year-old accused of killing ten-year-old Lily Peters could have his case moved to juvenile court.  The suspect appeared in court in Chippewa Falls this morning.  The judge in the case is spending the week deciding if his case will be moved to juvenile court and the hearing is expected to last until August 14th.

Victim of Deadly Crash Identified

A fatal crash remains under investigation. On Thursday 08/04/2023 at 6:11 P.M., the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a one vehicle crash with injury. Investigation showed that 30 year old Jackson Kittelson was traveling northbound on State Highway 27 when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Jackson was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. The crash is under investigation by the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office.
