Lawmakers Discuss Changes to Delivery

There could be new rules for DoorDash and UberEats in Wisconsin.

A Senate committee is going to hold a hearing today on a plan that would allow restaurants to opt-out from third-party delivery services. The plan would also require food delivery drivers to have a basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene. There is also a provision that would require delivery services to place orders with restaurants immediately. The proposed law comes after complaints about how some delivery drivers or service use local restaurants.
