FBI Investigating WI Solar Company

The FBI is now investigating Sun Badger Solar for its unfinished work. The federal involvement was revealed last week when a warrant from last December was unearthed. Sun Badger Solar closed its doors back in February of last year. That left hundreds of people and businesses with unfinished or unworkable solar panels. High Winds Blamed for Flames Escaping Controlled Burn

Firefighters in Ixonia are blaming Saturday’s high winds for a controlled burn that got out of control. Winds whipped-up the flames in a field just north of I-94 on Highway E. Fire crews say they were trying to burn off some brush at the time. Ixonia’s fire department says their mistake should be a warning to be careful when burning anything this year, particularly when the winds are high.

MN Police Officers, Paramedic Shot And Killed

Two Minnesota police officers and a paramedic were shot and killed while responding to a domestic abuse call early Sunday. Burnsville Police Chief Tanya Schwartz expressed her sorrow: Law enforcement sources say the suspected gunman died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police say the suspect had several guns and opened fire from multiple points in the home about 15 miles south of Minneapolis. There were seven children inside the house at the time. All were reported safe.

Congressman Van Orden Investigating Faulty Equipment at VA

Western Wisconsin’s congressman is promising to get answers about faulty equipment at the Tomah VA.  Congressman Derrick Van Orden said he was just made aware of PT/INR lab equipment that wasn’t working properly.  Van Orden, who is a former Navy SEAL, said all veterans deserve top-notch care at the VA, and said that faulty equipment is life threatening and can’t be tolerated.

Slam Dunk for UWEC’s Final Game at Zorn Arena
