Prosecutors in Barron County are moving ahead with charges against an 18-year-old who they say stabbed a teen and his father last week. The D.A.’s office yesterday filed charges against Emmanuel Torres for the fight in Anderson Park last Thursday. Police say Torres got into a fight with another teen, and ended-up stabbing that teen and his father. There’s no word on what started the fight.

He says the hope is to create a new apartment complex that draws people to that side of town. Hagen is still working with planners in Eau Claire. He says if everything goes well, he may be able to start work on the development next year.

Wayne Murphy was found guilty of 30 counts including causing great bodily harm and reckless driving following the 2018 crash and was sentenced on Monday.
