Read MoreA man accused of stealing multiple cars in Barron County is in custody. Sheriff’s deputies say Andrew Miller was arrested yesterday in Rice Lake and taken to Barron County Jail. Miller is charged with two counts of operating a vehicle without owner’s consent, misdemeanor theft, damage to property, and bail jumping. He’s accused of stealing a car from Barron, burning it, then stealing another car from the Cornstock area in western Barron County.
Read MoreA roundabout will not be built at an intersection where many crashes have happened just outside of Bloomer. The Bloomer city council recently requested the roundabout be put in at the intersection of Highways 64, 40, and F but the Chippewa County Traffic Safety Commission rejected the plans. The Department of Transportation also said a roundabout isn’t warranted at that intersection. However, the DOT plans to continue to monitor it.

Reports say the university plans to join the National Association of Collegiate E-sports by the fall of 2020. A student on the e-sports committee says the school plans to update a computer lab with new equipment so that it can also be used for e-sports and academics. UW-Stout will be the second university in Wisconsin to start an e-sports program.
