Eau Claire schools are getting ready for virtual snow days. That’s one of several calendar changes approved at last night’s school board meeting. The Eau Claire Area School Board voted last night to make the scheduled snow days virtual learning days on the updated calendar. Officials said the changes are now possible because of virtual infrastructure.

Governor Tony Evers yesterday said he is sending 50 million-dollars to programs designed to help low income families. That includes child care assistance, rental assistance, help paying for people’s power bills, and a million-dollars to help people sign-up for BadgerCare. The 50 million is the latest piece of Wisconsin’s two billion-dollars in CARES Act money.

The result was confirmed by the National Veterinary Services Laboratory in Ames, Iowa. The positive sample came from a 4-year-old whitetail buck.
