The Eau Claire Fire Department responded to a structure fire overnight on the city’s West side. Crews arrived to find smoke showing from the front of the residence; the occupants of the home had already gotten out. Crews made entry into the residence and located fire on the first floor of an interior room. At the same time, additional crews started a search of the residence, located and removed a dog. Health officials today report a positive testing rate of 19-point-7-percent, which is down a fraction of a point from yesterday, but is eight points higher than Saturday. There are 771 new coronavirus cases reported today but no new deaths. Over 87-percent of those who tested positive in Wisconsin are now considered recovered.
