President Trump brings his 2020 Campaign to Janesville where he spoke before thousands during a rally. The event took place yesterday evening outside the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport. Staffers took rally goers’ temperatures and distributed facemasks. According to multiple media outlets, not many people at the rally wore the masks nor observed social distancing. During the rally, President Trump was criticizing the Democratic governor of Wisconsin, Tony Evers, for coronavirus restrictions at the same time the state is seeing a spike in cases.

Read MoreThe state’s COVID-19 electronic data management system is to be upgraded over this weekend. The Department of Health Services says there will be an outage in the system to allow for some improvements to be made. The Wisconsin Electronic Disease Surveillance System is used by local and tribal jurisdictions, health care providers and public health officials to collect and keep track of COVID-19 info. The system shutdown started yesterday evening. The upgraded system will roll out Monday and Tuesday.

The grant money comes from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health through its Wisconsin Partnership Program. Yesterday, WMTV reported that the grant money will go toward the launch of the Well Black Women Institute which will train black women on how to establish unencumbered health access in Dane, Rock and Milwaukee counties.
