UW-Health Planned Hub for Vaccine Distribution

Health officials say when the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is available, UW-Health in Madison will be a regional hub for distribution.  UW Health and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services will distribute the vaccine to hospitals and long-term care facilities first.  Pfizer and Moderna filed applications with the FDA for emergency use of the vaccines, which are ready for distribution and just awaiting approval.  The CDC has said it could be sometime next summer before the general public could be inoculated and in

The two game hockey series between the Badgers and Michigan State is postponed.  The UW athletics department today announced the team will not play in East Lansing tomorrow or Wednesday after a positive test in the Badgers program.  The teams hope to reschedule the matchup.  Wisconsin’s women’s hockey team was forced to cancel its series against Minnesota because of COVID-19 concerns.

Rollover Injures 4 Teens

The Pepin County Sheriff’s Office says four teens are hurt after a rollover crash Sunday afternoon. The sheriff’s office says a 16-year-old boy was driving too fast over a hill and left the road, rolling the car several times. Three other 16-year-old boys were in the car with him. Police say the driver and one passenger were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Two others were treated at the scene and released.
