It’s the anniversary of the first case of coronavirus to be treated in Madison. Yesterday marked a year since UW Health attended to its first COVID-19 patient in University Hospital. The patient had recently returned from a trip to China where exposure to the disease happened. Recovery time for the patient was around a month. It was the first case in Wisconsin and the 12th reported case in the United States.

The weatherman says a storm system out of the southwest is expected to bring a heavy, wet snowfall starting in earnest tonight and into Sunday. Six-or more inches of snow are predicted for counties immediately south of Dane County. Madison could get from four to six inches by midday, Sunday.

The La Crosse Center will be one of the two venues, the second of which has yet to be named. The WIAA girls tournament is February 25 through 27 while the boys edition happens March 4 through 6.
