WI Coronavirus Cases Holding Steady

Wisconsin’s coronavirus count is holding steady. The state’s Department of Health Services on Friday said doctors and nurses are averaging 26 thousand vaccine doses and 18 thousand booster shots per-day. That’s about where the state has been for weeks, though there was a spike in reported doses last month when kids under 12 first became eligible for the shots. Nail Biter…But A Win

 The Packers did just enough to grab the win and seal-up another NFC North title. Green Bay beat the Baltimore Ravens last night, 31-30. The Packers won the game by denying Baltimore a two-point conversion with just 42 seconds left in the game. The win not only gives the Packers another divisional title, it puts them in first place in the NFC and sets them up for a first round bye in the playoffs.

UPDATE: The Sheriff’s Office has updated information and we now know the names of those involved: Deceased: Curtis C Wright age 56 of Eau Claire, WI. Other Driver: Andrew J Lomprey age 32 of Chippewa Falls, WI. They’re Champs! WI Badgers ACE Tournament

The Wisconsin Badgers are the NCAA volleyball champions.  The Badgers took the crown last night in Columbus.  It is the school’s first NCAA volleyball championship.  The Badgers defeated Nebraska in five sets in the tournament final.

Badger Heads Home to Help

Badgers center Chris Vogt is back in Kentucky to help his home town of Mayfield recover after getting destroyed by tornadoes. Vogt’s GoFundMe relief assistance fundraising page has gathered nearly a hundred-60-thousand dollars so far.  Vogt is working with the American Red Cross in Mayfield in food distribution for those left homeless by the storms.

Crews Battle Fire in Abandon Building

Fire crews battle a blaze in an abandoned building in Sun Prairie.  A bunch of oil and paint stained rags caught fire yesterday morning in the building on Terra Court.  Fire investigators say the rags were discarded next to some construction materials.  Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the area where the materials combusted.  The fire caused 15-thousand dollars in damages.  There are no reports of injuries.

Cleanup Continues After Tornadoes Hit Chippewa Valley

Tornadoes are now confirmed to have been part of the destructive storms that hit west central Wisconsin this week.  Yesterday the National Weather Service confirmed there were three EF-2 tornadoes that swept through the region mainly affecting Clark and Chippewa counties.  The town of Stanley’s Chief of Police Lance Weiland says the damage is widespread from the tornadoes that hit Wednesday night into early Thursday.  Along with Stanley, the tornadoes hit near Neillsville, Weston and Fivemile Creek in Eau Claire.  There are
