Speaker Address Staffing Shortages in Hospitals

The top Republican in the Wisconsin Assembly says hospitals across the state didn’t help themselves by firing nurses who didn’t want to get the coronavirus vaccine.

Speaker Robin Vos told Capital City Sunday that hospitals are seeing staffing and bed shortages right now, and said that firing people who didn’t get their shots didn’t help.

Wisconsin’s Hospital Association says hospitals across the state fired less than two percent of their staff because of their vaccine mandates.

The Hospital Association says many hospitals across the state are filling-up because of a spike in patients.
