Closing arguments are underway in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial.  Prosecutor Thomas Binger tried to sum up to the jury exactly what the case centers on. Once complete, jurors will begin deliberating.  Rittenhouse claims he drove to Kenosha, Wisconsin, to protect businesses from looters last year during protests over a police shooting.  He’s accused of killing two men and injuring a paramedic in what he calls self defense.  He faces reckless and intentional charges. Hundreds of Wisconsin National Guard troops are ready to move into Kenosha as soon as they get the call. Governor Evers on Friday placed 500 soldiers on standby ahead of a verdict in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial. Closing arguments are today, and the jury could get the case by the end of the day. Search Continues After Green Bay Shooting

There’s a search for answers in Green Bay following a deadly shooting last night. It happened at the Marathon gas station near downtown Green Bay at about two a.m. yesterday morning. Police say a 26-year-old woman was shot several times, she later died at the hospital. Green Bay Police do not have a suspect in custody, but say this does not appear to be a random crime. One of Wisconsin’s largest dairy co-ops is hoping the Biden Administration enforces labeling laws for milk and cheese. The Edge Dairy Cooperative on Friday asked the new head of the FDA to crackdown on plant-based cheese and milk. Menomonie Schools Adjust Calendar After COVID-19 Cases

Kids in Menomonie Schools are getting a longer Thanksgiving break due to the coronavirus. Superintendent Joe Zydowski sent a letter to parents explaining that there won’t be enough teachers and staff members to cover classes on Monday and Tuesday of next week, so the school is canceling classes. WI State Hospitalization Rates Tick Up

Wisconsin is starting the week with over one thousand people in the hospital with the coronavirus. The state’s Hospital Association yesterday said just over one thousand people are in the hospital with the virus. Of them, just under 300 are in the ICU. Last week there were about 900 people in the hospital with the virus. The Hospital Association does not track how many people are hospitalized with the virus, as opposed to how many people are hospitalized because of it.
