Optional Tests Testing Lawmakers

The top Republican in the Wisconsin Assembly isn’t a fan of dropping the SAT or the ACT at the University of Wisconsin.

Assembly Speaker Robin Vos on Friday said too many high school students are unprepared for college. He says making the SAT and ACT optional will only make that problem worse. UW regents last week agreed to extend the school’s test-optional policy for another two years.
