Some students and teaching assistants at UW-Madison want more online classes because of the coronavirus. Yesterday was the first day of classes for students, and the Teaching Assistant Association and the Association of Students in Madison both want classes moved online. The two groups signed a letter to the university asking for more hybrid learning opportunities. The two say they are worried about catching the coronavirus. Hoffmann was added to the list after another country couldn’t find enough jumpers. Hoffmann started her ski jumping career at age two in the Blackhawk Ski Club in Middleton. She will compete on February 5th in the individual normal hill competition.

Phillips Library this week announced plans for what are being called laundromat libraries. The idea is to bring books, particularly for kids, to where people are. The town says it will cost about two-thousand dollars to replace them. The town is asking anyone who sees any of the stolen signs to reach out.

A picture of the suspect is posted on the Manitowoc Police Department Facebook page. Information that leads to an arrest could result in a 750-dollar reward.

Preliminary evidence indicates a pickup truck was traveling westbound on US 2 when the driver lost control. The pickup crossed the centerline, then struck an eastbound semi-tractor trailer.
