On January 25th, 2022 at approximately 9:57 a.m. the Wisconsin State Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries in Bayfield County on US 2 at Crooked Lake Road. Preliminary evidence indicates a pickup truck was traveling westbound on US 2 when the driver lost control.
The pickup crossed the centerline, then struck an eastbound semi-tractor trailer. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. Road conditions were a contributing factor. The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
