Wisconsin’s coronavirus picture is improving. The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday said 11 counties in the state have high coronavirus community levels. Last week that number was 15. All of the southeast Wisconsin counties are seeing high levels. DHS says communities with high levels should recommend people mask-up in public places.

Mark your calendars, Family Night at Lambeau Field is August 5th. The Packers yesterday said the annual practice/community event will be the first Friday in August this year. Family night is not only a chance for fans to watch a practice, but for charities and groups to raise some money. Lambeau will open at 5 p.m. for some pre-practice events, and will close with a fireworks show after the Packers are done on the field.

The show featured a Milwaukee News Clues category yesterday, which featured CBS 58 reporters and anchors asking the questions. The contestants eventually got each question right. The City of Medford is receiving a $86,900 state grant to help redevelop the Brucker Building, unoccupied since a 1980 fire, into a bookstore and wine bar as well as a two-bedroom apartment. The Community Development Investment Grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) will support the Brucker Building’s transformation into an attractive spot on South Main Street where independent bookseller, the Prickly Pear, will serve wine by the glass. Rock County’s 1995 John Doe is really named Carl Isaacs, Junior. T he sheriff in Janesville yesterday said investigators were able to ID him by using a DNA database. The sheriff is not saying how Isaacs died. He was found in a remote wooded area along Turtle Creek in Clinton in November of ’95. The sheriff says Isaacs walked away from the Walworth County jail in April of that year. Investigators now want to find out more about Isaacs, and

Badger basketball is coming to Milwaukee, but not at the home of the Bucks. The University of Wisconsin yesterday confirmed the Brew City Battle will feature a Badger men’s and women’s basketball game at American Family Field this November. The plan is to lay a basketball court across the infield, and add some temporary bleachers. Fans will also be able to sit in some of the stadium’s regular seats. The games are scheduled for November 11th, after the baseball season ends.

Crews have found the body of the boy who was sucked into a Milwaukee storm tunnel on Monday. Rescuers pulled 10-year-old Mohammad Arman out of the water yesterday. Crew members have not yet found the two adults who went into the water after him. Family members say the two were related to the boy. Investigators say it looks like Mohammad slipped and fell into the KK River as it was rushing after Monday’s severe thunderstorms in Milwaukee.

The grandmother of the teenager accused of killing Lily Peters is asking the judge for leniency. The boy’s grandmother wrote a letter to the judge in the case this week, she wants Chippewa County to try the teenager as a juvenile. He is 14-years-old, and is only identified in court documents at CP-B, but has been identified in various media reports as Peters’ cousin. Police say he beat, strangled, then sexually assaulted Peters after she left her aunt’s house back
