Suspect Arrested For Check Fraud

UPDATE: : On January 25, 2024 the suspect in this case attempted to cash a fake check at a bank in Black River Falls and was taken into custody by Black River Falls PD. The suspect is Michael James Anderson d.o.b. 2/3/1992.

The search continues for a suspect attached to local check fraud.

Wisconsin Crime Alert Network says the suspect opened checking accounts at both the Dairy State Bank and Citizen’s Bank in Menomonie earlier this month by using a fake driver’s license. A few days later, they say the suspect came back and cashed fake checks worth about 15 thousand-dollars.
