As Mother Nature is delivering punches all around the country and a recent winter storm snarled traffic on a Virgina interstate, there are moments where people warmed hearts despite the frigid temps.
For this week’s Friday Feel Good, we take a chance to open up a baker’s dozen filled with sweet gestures.
There was a traffic back up that had folks stranded, sometimes for more than 24 hours. A baking company helped those stuck on I-95 when they opened up one of their trucks and started passing bread out to people stuck on the interstate.
Casey Holihan Noe talks about how she called and asked Schmidt Baking Company if they could pass out their bread to the stranded motorists. After hours of being stranded, the gesture was appreciated beyond simply offering food-it was offering a hand to those most in need and a great example of a baking company RISING to the occasion.
