Back to the (Court) Redrawing Board

It will soon be up to a court to decide on Wisconsin’s next political map.

The State Assembly yesterday approved the maps drawn by Republican lawmakers. Democrats at the Capitol joined them in rejecting the maps drawn by Governor Evers’ People’s Map Commission.  The governor has promised to veto the Republican-drawn maps, because he says they are gerrymandering. When that happens, it will either be up to a federal court or Wisconsin Supreme Court to draw the state’s new political boundaries.
