The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources reports the Badger State leads the country in the number of ATV and UTV crash deaths this year.
Heading into this past weekend, 29 people had died in Wisconsin in such accidents in 2026. The department urges anyone operating or riding as a passenger on an ATV or UTV to take advantage of safety equipment, including helmets and seatbelts.
