State legislators are proposing a bill to curb concert ticket scalping.
State Representative Jill Billings is co-authoring the so-called “SWIFTIE Bill,” which would limit purchases to eight tickets a person. It would also prevent the use of bots, multiple emails, or IP addresses. The bill’s name references issues with ticket prices during Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. Lawmakers hope to hold a hearing on the bill in the state assembly sometime this month.
