Historical WI Business Set to Close

A pre-Civil War era business in Beaver Dam is coming to an end. 

McKinstry Home Furnishings is currently holding a liquidation sale until everything is sold, and then it will close.  McKinstry has been on Front Street for 167 years when it was opened by Canadian immigrant John McKinstry.  It also served as a funeral home for several decades before the McKinstry’s decided to focus on home furnishings in the 1950s.  The store’s current president, Rick Fiegel, has been running the store for 59 years and is now ready to retire.
