Local responders were awarded in Titletown!
Chippewa County Sheriff Travis Hakes recently nominated Leah Berg for the selfless work she does for Jason’s Presents. Leah started Jason’s Presents in 2008 after Jason was killed in the line of Duty. Jason was working on the program, and after his passing, Leah started it in his honor.
Jason’s Presents has grown from 25 children to around 150, some years exceeding 200! Over the years countless lives have been touched by the selfless acts of Deputy Berg. The Green Bay Packers made a $2,000 donation to Jason’s Presents in addition to the award.
In addition to Berg, a Dunn County Deputy and Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office were also selected.
