Traffic Stop Leads to 6th OWI

A traffic violation leads to another OWI for a 48 year old Fredrick man.

On May 18th, 2024, at approximately 12:40 a.m. a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper initiated a traffic  stop on CTH B at Lind Road near Siren for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the vehicle and the  driver, the trooper observed signs of impairment. A subsequent investigation was conducted. The  driver, Jeremy Carlson, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a  restricted controlled substance-6th offense.

Carlson was transported to a local hospital for an  evidentiary test of his blood and then to the Burnett County Jail.  Carlson is being charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a restricted  controlled substance-6th offense, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and  operating a motor vehicle after revocation.
