The boyfriend of a missing three-year-old’s mother will face trial for child neglect.

Three-year-old Elijah Vue was last seen at the boyfriend’s, Jesse Vang, apartment in Two Rivers on February 20th. Vang says he fell asleep while taking care of Vue and woke up to him gone. His mother, Katrina Baur, says her son was staying at Vang’s so he could teach the three-year-old how to be a man. Punishments for the boy included standing in a corner for hours at a time and cold showers.
Vang and Baur are facing child neglect charges and remain in custody at the Manitowoc County jail. The search for Vue has expanded to the Wisconsin Dells area, and more than 70 drone teams have helped look for him.
