Crashes are down twenty-percent in Chippewa County, according to new 2023 traffic statistics.
Sheriff Travis Hakes credits the drop to safe-driving campaigns and programs that help lower the number of repeat drunk drivers. Crashes involving impaired drivers are down 33-percent last year in Chippewa County.
