On December 29, 2023, at approximately 2:40pm, a Lake Hallie Police Officer conducted a traffic stop of a black colored SUV at 40th Avenue and Highway 124 in the Village of Lake Hallie because the registered owner was showing a revoked driver’s license. It was revealed that Donaldson had an alcohol restriction of no greater than 0.02 and an Ignition Interlock requirement (IID).

Donaldson voluntarily submitted to field sobriety testing and submitted to a preliminary breath test which yielded a result of .09. As a result, Donaldson was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated 7th Offense, Operating while criminally revoked, and failure to install IID. Donaldson was
transported to the hospital for a legal blood draw.

Afterwards, he was taken to the Chippewa County Jail for processing. The results of the blood test will not be known for several weeks as it will be sent to the Wisconsin State Hygiene Laboratory.
