The Speaker’s Task Force On Human Trafficking is in Oshkosh today to hear from police and prosecutors.
The task force is looking to see what the legislature can do to stop the trafficking of people, specifically children, and whether any new state laws are needed. The DA from Manitowoc County, along with police officers from Oshkosh and Green Bay are expected to testify. Members of the state Department of Justice’s human trafficking task force are also expected to speak.
