One person is dead after being hit by a train in Rusk County.
It happened Saturday evening on the trestle near Capener Road in the Town of Hubbard. Rusk County Sheriff Jeffery Wallace says the victim was pinned underneath the train. Rescue crews tried to pull them out, but the person died on the scene. No one is saying why the person was on the tracks. The sheriff’s office says it will likely have some more details about the case later today.
