With the mercury rising, Eau Claire Police remind not to leave your pet in a hot car.
Police say they receive a call at least once a week during the warm weather months of a dog being left in a hot car. In 2018, the department reports they received over 100 calls of animals being left in hot cars. So far this year, the department has received thirty calls for animals being left in a hot car.
