Work is now started for the coming new Costco store in Eau Claire.
Crews are clearing the land on Black Avenue, located just east of the North crossing. The land was once a family farm. Most people on social media are welcoming the members-only warehouse, but some who live in the area say they will miss the quiet residential traffic. The store is scheduled to open late this year or in early 2024.
